A unique, all-malt – no adjunct – full-bodied – elbow-bender with a moderate kick. The same quality ingredients as our lager with a unique south of the equator hop finish.

330 ml bottle from the brewery. Served cold into a pint glass. Bottled June 13, 2019.

Appearance - Clear, dark straw colored beer with loads of carbonation and an impressive finger and a half of long lasting white head.

Smell - Grainy and sweet, with a light perfumey aroma as well.

Taste - Quite crackery, with a slight suggestion of grassy hops. A tiny spicy note in there too. Quite a robust flavor.

Mouthfeel - A bit chalky and drier than expected, but the body is reasonably light and carbonation is nice and fizzy.

Overall - Better than expected, a pretty good little summertime lager. Lots of other options in the same slot, but this fits nicely into a beer portfolio.

Appearance: Pale yellow colour with a decent amount of carbonation. Poured with a finger of head that didn't lace at all but didn't do a bad job of sticking around.

Smell: A mild bread with a floral hop hint and a touch of lemon zest. Warming does bring out it's potency which for a light lager is pretty good.

Taste: Starts with bready malt that turns to a touch of floral and earthy hops. That pretty much sums it up, as it's pretty basic as I would expect from a light lager. It certainly is one that's meant to be put back in large quantities.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and crisp with the carbonation helping out the entire beer, but with how simplistic the beer is, there's not much in the way of transitioning. No aftertaste either, as it a little bit moist.

Drinkability: The beer shines here, as it's highly refreshing and easy to drink, but let's be honest here. This is a guzzler, as it's absurdly easy to put back and ridiculously light .

Final Thoughts: This is a light lager, but at least it's done a bit better then most macro offerings. It is an ideal lawnmower and summer drinker. If you want a nuanced drinker though, this isn't your cup of tea. If you like light beer and want to support a small local offering, this is the beer for you. Otherwise, it's just too basic.
