Cosmic Congruency is an Imperial Stout we worked on with Derek when he visited months back. It is made with Cacao nibs, Vanilla, Coconut, Marshmallow, and a touch of lactose. As depicted on the label, our goal was to make an out of this world balanced stout with some of both breweries favorite and congruent adjuncts that coexist harmoniously in this stout and at a cosmic level. Cosmic Congruency pours pitch black with a fluffy quickly dissipating head. Aromas of thick fudge and sweet vanilla arise before flavors of bakers chocolate, gooey marshmallow and balanced coconut wrapped up in vanilla swirls. Decadent and creamy, Cosmic Congruency shows balance and restraint across at the bored before giving you a harmonious finish.

Pours a deep, syrupy black with a half finger of medium brown head, decent retention. Aroma is full of toasted marshmallow, bakers chocolate, vanilla, and brown sugar. Taste hits the same notes as the aroma with a nutty undertone and a sweet but not cloying finish. Full bodied with moderately low carbonation. Overall a very tasty adjunct stout. I had a few bottles right after release and I recall enjoying those a bit more. This is still a great beer but if you have it I would recommend drinking ASAP.

Allowed to warm up at room temp for ~20 mins and poured into a tulip. Pour is thick. Viscous motor oil. Head doesn't hang around for long before rapidly dissipating. This is a sweet one for sure. If you are coming in to this unfamiliar with the sweetness of many EQ stouts, I'm sure it might catch you off-guard. Milk chocolate and marshmallow are the prominent flavors here. Some coconut but it takes a backseat to the aforementioned. A well done pastry stout. If you like chocolate covered marshmallows I'd suspect you'll like this one, if you can handle the sweetness.

This beer served slightly colder than expected 50 (ish) degrees
Look- This beer pours pretty dark. A darker brown head. Head is comprised of bigger soapy like bubbles. head dissipates quickly.
Smell- The initial thought I had smelling this beer for the first time was a mix of chocolate milk, and brownie A La Mode. Bigger milk chocolate vibes on this one than compared to other EQ stouts. No coconut at all for me. The vanilla is also hard to find the more it warmed the more it came through on the nose.
Taste- The first initial sip was full of chocolate notes. The begin of the pallet is brownie A La Mode. The vanilla comes through intertwined with chocolate and fudge notes very well on the pallet. The taste still lacked the coconut for me but it was so complex and lovely.
Feel- The feel is the only thing I found lacking with this beer. When I saw EQ and Moksa I was expecting to need a knife and a fork to be required to enjoy this beer. Very much lower medium body. a little watery for my taste in double pastry stouts.
Overall- This beer is very good. the taste and smell leave nothing more to be wanted. Even though I couldn't find the coconut but still the flavor and aroma were amazing. The mouthfeel just missed for me. I really did go into this beer thinking it was going be the thickest stout they have done to date. But as I said this beer was still great.
