Poured from a can (no date, released 04Jan2020) into an EQ Teku (#properglassware)
L: pours a medium- yellow/orange with a nice and thick white head. Fades fairly slowly, leaving some chunky lacing as it does
S: huge pineapple aroma right as I crack the can. Get a fresh cut/juicy pineapple aroma, some citrusy orange/grapefruit, and a bit of piney bitterness as it’s warmed. Very inviting, felt the pineapple impact faded after a bit in the glass but I may have just gotten used to it
T: follows the nose very well, lots of delicious pineapple flavor with some great citrusy orange bitterness. There’s another tropical flavor I can’t quite decide on, maybe some mango/passionfruit? That nice earthy/piney bitterness comes through in the middle and through the medium/long finish - does a great job of suggesting a next sip
F: medium- body, medium carbonation, fairly easy drinking but more west coast than creamy NEIPA in mouthfeel
O: a very good DIPA that delivers an excellent nose and a rewarding flavor. There’s something I find myself wanting in the end, but at the same time I welcome each sip and thought the nose and swallow were great - torn, clearly
