Starting off with a big base of oats and wheat, we used a combination of Citra, Sabro, and Sultana in the latest batch of our experimental series. This beer opens up like and orange blossom pina colada in a glass with zested rim. You’ll notice big pineapple and coconut notes up front that morph into a gentle orange, stone fruit, and lime zest flavors that finish with a resinous light pine and a pop of #EQjuice.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy, medium golden amber with a three finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, pineapple, orange, lemon, a little grapefruit and pine. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, mixed tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, hints of stone fruit. Modestly bitter finish with citrus rind character and lingering mixed fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I was intrigued by the experimental hops, but didn't realize this was a hazy until I poured it. Fortunately has some light to moderate bitterness, but still a bit on the soft side for my taste. Interesting citrus and mystery fruit character, but has the "old fruit juice" finish that most hazy IPAs seem to have and which doesn’t suit my palette. Seems well made and a flavorful and novel hop fruitiness. Should be well received by those who like the hazy style.
