Shimmering black body with a brown collar. Aromas of port and bourbon backing a bevy of dark fruit, musty plum and sweet raisin in particular, with barley, caramel, and shallow dark chocolate. Taste doesn't get rich and sweet or rustic and barrel driven, rather the pungent port and earthy barley run much of the sip, before the bourbon, dark fruit, and molasses add a much less intense second layer. Feel is malty and boozy, no defining feature but if I had to pick one it would be port barrel.
