I like seeing growth. This is my second from Resident Culture. The first was 2020, bought from Tavour. Then, Resident Culture seemed ambitious, but far from accomplished... particularly looking at their website. Today, they are on their way. Four sites in Charlotte, the website is comprehensive for a six year old and "Give Me Money" is a decent venture into the Belgian styles given that Resident Culture makes its money on IPAs. And instead of relying on Tavour (an alternative distribution network), Resident Culture was found on the Pick 4 (a premium build-your-own pack) at Binny's, Chicagoland's largest chain. Resident Culture's success is smiling.

And "Give Me Money" shows why. While it Looks less like a saison (amber and limited foam), it has citrusy aromas with a bit of barnyard in the back of my nose. Tastes are balanced like a good saison; the tart is not too much, hops mostly counter sweet malts until the finish. The rye adds a nice spice. Cleansing on my palate, a bit like adding a bit of vinegar to cut fat in the soup.

In addition to the growth mentioned above (and pressing all the right buttons), Resident Culture gets excellent Overall Hugs for how this saison played at the table of a busted-up meal: frozen yakisoba that required lots of BBQ sauce, and sweet potatoes with honey and butter. In other words, "Money" is versatile. A Sante' !

P.S. I'm also in a happy mood because this is my 401st saison on BA, weighing in at 11.2% of my total ratings.

Aroma is citrus/lime, Belgian yeast and rye/malts. The flavor is big lime/citrus, rye/malts, a good hint of sugar and a spicy Belgian yeast/rye finish.
