February 2020 bottling. Super impressive, given all of Afterthought's experimental focus on barrel-ageing, fruit, and herbs, that this is one of their basic flagship lineup. Very clean, with bright acidity, pineapple, green grapes, straw, honeydew, and a light minerality.

Wow, this one had a super dry finish to it that really makes you yearn for that next sip. It had a nice touch of funkiness at the end that made it really interesting. Really good crushable beer.

Bright golden yellow body with playful white bubble head, decent activity from carbonation. Smells of lemon, acidic yeast, a bit earthy, and slight hay, funk and grass. Love the combination of old world saison yeasts and body complexion with vibrant lemon drop acidity. Some periphery flavors include wild flower, earthiness, funk, wood, and a solid backing of oak. Very bright, bubbly and springy. An easy drinker that has enough flavor to make you want to enjoy slowly in admiration.

Bottle swapped my way, thanks a ton mike! Was super eager to try these. This one was bottled in december 2017. As a fan of saisons this one is worth talking about. Oak is prevalent and compliments the base saison beautifully. There is a refined complexity to the beer reminiscent to hill farmstead saisons. Just classic to style w the flavor dialed in without being too grassy or plasticy or too anything. Super easy drinking. Very great looking forward to trying more.

375ml bottle, served in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy straw yellow body, bright hued with a one finger white head, good retention, lots of lacing. Smell is tart lemon, a bit of leather, mild-moderate acetic tartness, a touch of straw and grain. Crackers. Flavour is straw, cracker, mild-moderate acetic acidity, lemon, a bit of zesty bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium lighter bodied, effervescent, crisp and deliciously refreshing. A nice one to drink with a stout in the other hand. Not unlike a Hill Farmstead-style American saison.

500 mL bottle. One of the first Afterthoughts!
Nice, refreshing. A little young, doughy, fruit salad, mineraly tartness builds in finish. Looking forward to revisiting future batches
