Double dry hopped with Citra and hit with just a dab of Nelson, we loaded this up with rolled oats, unmalted wheat, used an expressive yeast, and created something that we’re pretty damn proud of. Milky yellowy/white in color, with flavorful hoppy layers of pineapple, lychee and nectarine.

Canned on 1/23/23; consumed on 2/25/23
Pours an opaque, ultra-pale gold body topped with two fingers of airy, soapy, white foam; solid head retention yields a paper-thin, fuzzy cap, an expansive, frothy collar, and chunky rings of lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aromas of lemon-lime and white peach feed to tangerine zest and orange peel as dank grass subtleties accent the residual aspects of the bouquet.
Taste shows lemon-lime and tangerine peel upfront, with slight grassiness easing to an earthy dank over the mid-palate and a quiet grapefruit zest finding distant papaya through the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-light body and a fluffy spritz of moderate carbonation, dispersing glossy resins to a delicately slick peak over the mid-palate, while a juicy underscore counters a soft, hoppy twang on the back end.
A citric twang contrasts a soft, glossy undercurrent carrying ample zest through a casual creaminess; wavering imbalance over a steadied foundation.

1/23/23 Batch! Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, hint of white wine grape, and an orange-tangerine citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a beautifully balanced, hoppy and orange-grapefruit citrus bitter finish. That citrus bitterness lingers for just the right amount of time on the roof of the mouth and back of the throat...this dramatically increases, however, as the temp rises. As it warms, a little citrus booziness starts to peek out as well. This has nice depth to it...I wish it was just a tad bit murkier/softer. This is so well done...Green Cheek is in a good place right now. This is delicious!!!

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Triple / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. brandy snifter glass
Price: $24.00 for a 4-pack
From: Green Cheek Beer Company in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Purchased: Sept. 3, 2021
Consumed: Sept. 17, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 27, 2021
Went over to Green Cheek on my first work trip to Carson (stayed in Irvine) of the year. Had a flight, ending with this one on Sept. 3. Gave it a 4.25 and wrote “Probably in 4.40-to-4.45 range. Excellent.” Bought a 4-pack when I left. Was labeled as a “Double dry hopped with Citra and hit with just a dab of Nelson, we loaded this up with rolled oats, unmalted wheat, used an expressive yeast, and created something that we’re pretty damn proud of. Milky yellowy/white in color, with flavorful hoppy layers of pineapple, lychee and nectarine.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled Citra, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, dank pine, Nelson, nectarine, peach, hints of gooseberry, papaya, wet grass, melon, stone fruit and floral. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. So close. In order got Citra, Nelson, grapefruit, pineapple, dank pine, tangerine, nectarine, peach, hints of gooseberry, papaya, wet grass, melon, stone fruit and floral. Pretty smooth for 10.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just an awesome beer. Glad I got a 4-pack. (Overall - 4.50)

Packaged on 4/4/2022 - consumed on 4/12/2022. Poured from a tall-boy can into my Bruery tulip.
Turbid vanilla/jasmine body with a lasting half-finger of dense magnolia foam. Fine sandy lacing; glassy legs; superior retention. Deep multi-layered nose; dank with hints of chives, mint, and tropical fruit. Zesty and herbaceous.
Sweet (mango), lightly spicy palate entry with low floral notes. Mild bitterness throughout. A touch of orange cream in there as well. Light malt base perhaps with some oats and/or wheat? Medium finish, juicy, faintly spicy, slightly floral, with even a hint of almond butter or marzipan. Good marriage of Citra and Nelson.
Creamy, medium-full bodied, yet still juicy/refreshing; alcohol is well disguised.
One of the best hazy/NE style imperials I've had - good use of dry hopping to retain aromatics in particular.

triple hazy IPA with citra.
boozy on the nose with a dry finish. fruity and slightly sweet. look is very murky.
nice and dank like a hazy IPA but not too heavy, feels light and bright. slightly spicy notes, cloves perhaps, compliment the unfiltered, fruity taste.
