Rouget is a lush, sparkling, fruity-but-dry festive saison. We used oak chips and Nelson Sauvin hops to enhance the Sauvignon quality.
Expect fruity notes of mandarine, pear, lychee and a hint of fig in this bold slightly decadent beer.

I was amazed that I drank half of Rouget and didn't notice it was 9% ABV... and then I could notice. But having recovered from the surprise, I'm still amazed by this saison whose ABV is almost 50% higher than most other saisons.
Rouget Looks like it could compete with its elders; a big tight foam that sticks around active until the glass is empty. However given its good yeast, it does not Smell as fruity as I expected... only slightly above average. Tastes however are more fruity in the attack and then the hops assert themselves through the finish... really like a classic saison. Medium-mouthed. And well done as a table ale, despite that high ABV. Paired well with my world-famous soup, any saison's ultimate test.
I visited Haring and this is my last of four beer reviews. And while not all ales were as interesting as Rouget, Haring clearly has got a handle on what makes Belgians Belgian... despite being Dutch. (Hint: It's the yeast !!!) A Sante' and Proost!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
