Pitch black body with a finger of brown foam. Smell has more acidic coffee with chocolate, coconut, vanilla, caramel, barley, with a boozy bourbon backing. Feel is not as thick for the series as the coffee percolation is really allowed to star, still has a sweeter trappings behind, but coffee, even more than barrel is the runaway star, the acidity is felt within the roast. The taste is really coffee forward, throwing off the patented of the series, but still has really pleasant coffee, chocolate and bourbon notes.

Appearance - The beer was inky black in color with tan bubbles at the top of the glass.
Smell - Chocolate and coconut came through in the nose.
Taste - Coconut and cinnamon made the start. Milk chocolate and coconut followed, making it seem like a milk stout. The bourbon lingered in the finish.
Mouthfeel - The body was smooth with low carbonation like a milk stout.
Overall - This was delicious!

Baker's chocolate, a hint of roasty coffee, coconut, a hint of rye-spice, and a bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a chocolate and coffee, hint of coconut, bourbon barrel finish. The mouthfeel on this one is not thick/viscous per se, but it is full and soft on the palate. This is pretty good! It just needed a touch more coffee and coconut to round it out IMO...

I had this on draft 11/7/24 @ Half Acre.
Black appearance.
Minimal dark tan head; minimal lacing remained.
Milk chocolate, rich coconut & mild dark roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Coconut & milk chocolate flavors up front; dark roast coffee bean & even more coconut notes on the finish. As this warmed, dry wood notes emerged.
Sweet & sticky as all get-out (a Benthic trademark), but you can actually taste some barrel here! Not too shabby.
