12 oz can in to a pint glass. Clear golden color with a small bumpy white head. Faint toasted malt and medicinal hop aroma. Flavor is much heavier on the medicinal hop bitterness but the maltiness still manages to round it off a bit. Medium feel. Nice lager!

Enjoyed on a cold and snowy Chicago night as intended. Easy drinking and forgiving in a season laden with spiced up suds. The can is easy to stare at while contemplating my feelings about its contents. Will be having another.

12oz can, painted label. No dating information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white colored head with the pour, and this sticks around as a full cap and high reaching ring. Leaves behind some scattered lacing spots.
Aroma of toasted malts, bready, with some floral hops.
Taste is toasted malt that is full of caramel. Honey sweet. Floral and grassy hops. Has a mineral note. Aftertaste ends with toasted grains.
Medium mouthfeel. Crisp with a clean finish. Bitterness is low but there is a hop bite. Very good carbonation.
Tasty lager with a depth of flavors for its ABV% and easy drinkability.

Cold Weather Lager, huh?
Anyhoo, it's a pretty solid pale Lager.
Pours very lively with a vigorous head above a slightly cloudy orange tinged golden body.
Great lacing and a nice marmalade aroma with some fruitiness, but nicely balanced by the hops.
It's pretty good overall.

12oz can, dated 10.22.2024, poured into a Half Acre 'occult' snifter glass. Enjoyed on 11.23.2024, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a bright golden orange color, crisp and clear with a fluffy, foamy white head that offers excellent retention and lacing. The aroma is nice, soft pale grain, wildflower, pine, earthy noble hop, light citrus, and mineral water. The flavors are good, doughy pale grain, mineral water, citrus peel, pine, grass, and herbal tea. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body, super smooth, with a crisp and dry finish.
Verdict: A very nice pale lager from Half Acre. Bright, clean, crisp, balanced, and refreshing. A nice beer for the cold season.

Decent Pale Ale but nothing leaving a mark. Drinkable and some crafty personality but even Half Acre has better options.

Half Acre seemed to aim for a slightly malty, people-pleasing lager. Didn't aim super high with this one but delivered a fairly tasty, highly drinkable beer.

Having just returned from the land of winter lagers (Copenhagen), I was curious to see Half Acre's interpretation of this sub-style and see if similarly miserable climates drank the same beer in winter. They do. But, I have to say that Half Acre's rendition has more flavor.
Opening with a thick and white foam on a blonde bod, Far Star Looks impressive and inviting. Smells are more mute, mostly malt. Really the same for Tastes; they are balanced, but the hops definitely close. Out of nowhere, almost semi-dry. Light to medium-mouthed, nice bubbles.
I give Half Acre very good Overall Hugs because they deserve more business from me than I have time for. Cheers !

Draft pour into standard shaker pint glass. Fairly clear golden color with a thick white foam cap. Pretty hoppy on the nose. Some bready malts mixed in there too. More malty and bready in the taste. Full mouthfeel with a little lower carbonation to it. Not bad. Definitely get the ‘cold weather lager’ description as it seems like it is built for cooler months. Little heavier but still drinkable. Solid.
