Our first pilsner. We brewed it with pilzen malt and added saaz throughout the boil then we dry hopped it in true Kettlehead fashion with wakatu, a New Zealand hop. Light and refreshing with hints of lemon lime.

On tap at the brewery. Long lasting foamy white head settles slowly into floating islands. Straw colored with slight haze.
Mineral and grain on the aroma with some sweetness.
The flavor is grain, dough, some cracker and mineral all balanced out by sweetness.
Moderate carbonation and lighter then medium body.
Clean flavors, strong malt and mineral in the flavor.

Poured in a flight, leaves a nice solid half inch white head that leaves behind wonderful thin lines of lace.
Smell is earthy herbal hops, some pine, lemon peal, and some grapefruit.
Taste follows very herbal is the only word I can come up with to explain it, pepper, pine, a little lemon, and a balanced grapefruit finish.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp, plenty of life, maybe a little dry, and very crisp and drinkable.
Overall this is a very, very good Pilsner. Well done and masterfully balanced and goes down way to fast. Great beer.
