This tastes like a fruit smoothie. It looks perfectly respectable. It has a pleasant aroma. It tastes like something I might have bought at Jamba Juice, if Jamba Juice used alcohol.

In my book, a drink that incorporates this much fruit cannot be classified as beer. On top of that this thing really had quite a strong 'medicine' taste to it. Not a fan.

Hey! I need to report an incident! Someone replaced my beer with a delicious berry smoothy! That’s all I got to say because the usual descriptive words don’t apply here. Needless to say, not what I expected. But a very enjoyable drink. (Is this really a beer?) The only reason I didn’t score it higher was because it not what I’d reach for when wanting a beer.

This fruited sour changed the game. Odd mixture of flavor notes at first: is it candy or is it fruit? It's both! Thick, smoothie like, extra-extra-chew leaves evidence of your experience all over the insides of your glass like a cup of orange juice with pulp. I'd prefer 11.0 ABV because I couldn't drink more than one. Worth a try as a dessert for sure.

- pours extra thick, purple plum (like the fruit itself was mashed) in color. Not attractive at first. But builds character as you continue drinking.
- Too thick for a head.
- Sediment at the bottom, sides and top of the beer. You will feel this beer in your mouth.
- The cherries and candy are most prominent. The raspberry is secondary. The mango completely falls off. The entire beer resembles a pack of fruit snacks blended into hard seltzer water.
- Barely carbonated, but does fizzle in the mouth and on the tongue.

Can from Half-time/BA for EBF 2021. Pours a murky/pulpy purplish ruby red, dark pink flash of foamy head, pulpy lacing on the glass, smell is mango skin, laffy taffy, frutti di bosco juice, taste is mango purée, sour raspberries, hints of cherry lillipop, and starburst, mild grain alcohol finish, mango and cherry come back and linger, feel is thick, creamy, mild carbonation and acidity. This has all the fruit and candy as advertised, some alcohol, super thick, up there with the ETNYC fruit smoothies but a little more brash.

Magenta smoothie appearance, looks pretty thick. Smell does gives some of that gushers candy quality to it: raspberry and cherry in particular are sweet with lingering tartness, mango and hints of red currant brighten a touch. Tastes exactly as it smells, gushing with flavor, sip after sip the palate is not fatigued, though not the most complex. Great smoothie viscosity and coolness, light tartness and sweetness round out the feel. Very nice smoothie for any time of year. The wife loved it

An extremely fruity beer for the 2021 Extreme Beer Fest!

Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Reddish purple color with nice head with beer clinging to the sides of the glass as you drink. Extremely fruity smell and taste. Raspberry and mango dominates. Refreshing like a smoothie. Thick feel. Not something for every day, but a nice treat!

Easily one of the best sours I've had that made fruit the dominant flavor. Tastes like a sangria, and smells of raspberry and mango are there. Sweet like a fruit slushie, and finishes with the slightest tart bite. I simply understand the concept, and love the end result.

I did what the video told me and rolled the 16oz can before pouring. Pours super thick red/purple color. Not so much of a head as a layer of solids forms on top. As the carbonation reaches the surface, it looks like boiling lava. It looks like a fruit smoothie and not a beer, but that's the point here. Aroma is raspberry candy and sweet. Taste is also heavily raspberry and fruit candy. Feel is thick and syrupy. Overall, it's not what I would normally drink but I kept coming back to it looking for another taste. I can see how this type of brew can develop a following.

I absolutely LOVE this beer. It is *completely* atypical from most beers, so please don't expect anything "normal" because this ain't a normal beer. It is labelled SPECIAL for a reason.

The label says "Fruit Burst Snacks" and that is exactly what you get from this. Be sure to roll the can around a bit before pouring because the beer is full of fruit pulp and will stratify something fierce if you don't (leaving the first pour with all the alcohol and the last pour being all the fruit). I have no idea how much fruit is dumped into the fermenting process, but it has to be a ton!

The first sniff hits you in the face with fruitiness, mostly raspberry and cherry. First taste is "fruit smoothie!"... almost no alcohol factor at all. In fact, my husband and I were surprised that it had 7% ABV. Faint carbonation adds a nice mouth tingle and the hint of sour makes this drinkable and not cloyingly sweet or overpowering. This would make a superb breakfast beer or post workout beer, but honestly, I could drink this just about anytime, anywhere if the mood strikes.

In winter, I sink into my porter/stout/brown ale mist with an occasional sour to round out the palette. I tend to shy away from hoppy IPAs and ales in colder weather. This hits you as a summer beer, but that thick mouth feel sort of bucks the trend. It's literally a more 'edible' beer, making it surprisingly satisfying, even as I sit here with a -30 windchill outside and a furnace struggling to keep up.

Fruit notes: well, the label says Raspberry, Cherry, Mango and you definitely get all three, but clearly raspberry is the winner. I picked up the cherry a lot, too, although my husband didn't find it so much. The mango is the least clear flavor, but adds some thickening and hint of vanilla to the overall flavor palette.

Sour: very mild, more a tingle from the carbonation and a bit of sharpness to offset the sweet, pulpy fruit mash

Mouth feel: extraordinarily thick and pulpy--very much like a fresh fruit smoothie.

Scent: gloriously fruity and rich. No funky, farm-y, dank off scents. No sour notes, either.

Note: The women I've chatted with about this from the Extreme Beer Fest all loved this beer. Some of the men loved it, too (my husband being one of them). Because the fragrance is so integral to the beer, I'm wondering if the more sophisticated olfactory sensitivity of the female nose makes this a super hit with the chicks. I am already jonesing to get more of this beer, but I fear that I can only do so by making a long pilgrimage to Avon, NY!

16oz can served in a sample glass as part of Extreme Beer Fest.

Pours a murky smoothie purple with a small head. Smells like a berry smoothie.

Taste is fruit juice, some fruit skin bitterness, definitely some fruit gummy flavor, dominated by raspberry.

Mouthfeel is thick but not heavy. Overall, it's not bad, but it's really not my style of beer.

This deep purple-colored can pours "thickly."
The aroma is raspberry and strawberry.
The flavor is sweet and tart. Raspberry flavors are most prominent. There is a candy-like aspect.
The mouthfeel is smoothie thick. It does not seem alcoholic.
I will visit on a future upstate NY trip.

Pours a unbelievably sludgy, smoothie like consistency. Its a bright reddish purple color. Completely opaque. No head, just some bubbles on top of the beer. Lots of fruit debris/matter is seen floating in the beer and coats the glass as its consumed. Aroma is straight fruit - notes of bright raspberry, orange, mango, cherries, with some lighter notes of sweet vanilla, some light sweetened yogurt notes, but absolutely dominated by the fruit. Taste has lots of notes of fruit - raspberry, orange, mango, etc - with some sour notes, and a touch of this flavor that I can't quite place - but its a bit odd, almost plastic-y. In the end its like drinking a smoothie. The feel is where this one really goes off the rails for me. Not only is the flavor like a smoothie - the feel is like a smoothie thats been sitting out for a while. Its super thick and just kind of sits in your gut. It is brightly carbonated which helps a bit, but cannot overcome the incredibly thickness of this beer.

I enjoy some of these fruited sours, but this one just go way to far down the thick, fruit route - I think they said this one has 40% of the volume being fruit ... it definitely comes across that way and its just way too much.

Purple and red, it looks like a fruit smoothie. Thin pinkish head. Is this a fruit smoothie or a beer? Fruity, smells of cherry-berry with a hint of dehydrated mango. Sweet, not very sour. It tastes like a smoothie. Thick, not malty thick, blended fruit smoothie thick with minimal carbonation.

Didn't know what to expect from this beer. The beer stratifies in the can. Be sure to swirl or mix before pouring. The bottom layer doesn't taste good on its own. Lots of fruit pulp that will coat the glass. Opaque maroon color. Very fruity beer scent and flavor is overwhelming. Taste and body is almost like a yogurt smoothie. Not my type of beer.

Murky cranberry or strawberry-rhubarb color with a couple fingers of short-lived, fizzy raspberry-tinted head.

Very fruity smelling. Definitely hits the gusher fruit snack target pretty square. Cherry stands out the most, with some sour yogurt underneath.

Wow! The taste pops even more than the aroma. Just bursting with cherry and raspberry and other fruitiness, with a nice, light sourness under it all.

Not too hefty, but still with a full feel, with light carbonation.

These things aren’t very sessionable to me, but a taster serving is phenomenal. Really well made.

Part of EBF Cyberspace 2021

Night 2, round 2. Coming right off the heels of a wild ale, we have a fruited kettle sour. The combination of raspberry, cherry, and mango is not one I’ve had all together in a beer before, but I feel like it will result in quite the tart beer

Pours a completely opaque purple with no head and no lacing, some particulate floating around

Straight up smoothie in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas off strawberry, vanilla, candied mango, and tart cherry

Pretty much the same in taste. Up front I get some tart raspberry, creamy vanilla, and a touch of lemon. The swallow gets way sweeter, bringing notes of raspberry, strawberry, orange, and mango

A medium body and almost no carbonation results in a very thick beer, maybe even a bit tough to finish. Finishes mostly dry but too sweet

This was just mehh overall. There’s a place for it but it just doesn’t seem extreme, just another smoothie sour

Pulpy head! Purple slushy for sure. Pink foam cap. Moderate retention.
Nose bursts with fruit: raspberry, cherry, blueberry, pomegranate, blackberry, and hints of creamy strawberry.
Flavor pops with cherry and raspberry upfront, immediately followed by a luscious melange of blueberries, and mild tropical hints of banana and mango. Lightly sour. Absolutely packed with flavor.
Feel is a bit pulpy, decent carbonation swirls the flavors incessantly.

Pours chunky thick pulpy opaque dark maroon purple red with a chunky, pulpy, minimal lighter colored head. Smells like a fruit burst gusher, candied sweet fruit, juicy cherry, raspberry, mango syrup, fresh fruits, gummy fruit candy, with mild hops. Tastes like a thick pulpy fruit smoothie, cherry, mango, raspberry fruits, gummy fruit candy, gushers, fruit syrup. Feels medium-full bodied, thick, pulpy, smoothie-like, creamy smooth with moderate low carbonation. Overall a nice fruit burst fruited sour ale with raspberry, cherry and mango.
