Perfectly clear golden body with a plump finger of white foam. Can read the newspaper through this one. Classic lager aromas: grassy hops, crisp and clean malts, buttery biscuit, and cereal grains. Taste is the nose lived out but does not have the same integrity of the potency, finishes weak. Feel thought is malty, light, and crisp the whole way through. Decent carbonation with an elevated feel. Great crushable lager

16oz can with no date.
Clear, pale, straw color with minimal head. Lager using the new age German hops Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon. There is some citrus and melon notes in the aroma and flavor. Lighter all malt lager that is relatively dry. Seems a bit under carbonated, definitely not like a macro lager.

A nicely quenching lager... and that's all I ask from a lager. Bought two cans from Tavour.
Planetary Citizen sounds ambitious, but Looks average, clear and blonde. Smells are mostly malt, introducing some grassiness at the end. Tastes are well-balanced with the hops offering a semi-dry finish. Sufficiently bubbly and palate cleansing.
As for E9's quickie brewer review... I'm going to give them pretty good OA Hugs. Tacoma's fortunes have fluctuated wildly (although its population has always grown.) Nonetheless as Tacoma's oldest crafter (1995), E9 was invited by the City of Tacoma to help found a brewery district to find a new life for its forlorn warehouses. This followed a rather successful revitalization of Tacoma's downtown starting in the 1990s. (If Tacoma could've started the brewery District sooner, the downtown might be even more revitalized.) Anyway, E9 is succeeding in growing and has distribution in four other states... which is pretty good for starting as a pizza-pub. Cheers !
12/5/20 Had the second can with Indian food. And despite being a delicate lager, Planetary Citizen held its ground with some modestly spiced food. Cleansed the palate for more. I'm counting this can over at UnTappd.

Very clear light gold color. Carbonation is about average with a slightly thin body
Aroma is malt, mild caramel, cereal, grain, sour dough bread. Very mild sugary with some earthy hols
Taste is very mild sweetness with earthy mild bitter hops that lingers in the aftertaste. Some grain, cereal, yeasty sour dough bread.
This was a very enjoyable flavorful beer.

A: The beer is slightly hazy and a little hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that quickly settled down and left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with hints of biscuit malts.
T: The taste follows the smell but has somewhat stronger flavors of biscuit and bready malts along with a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and very clean and dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the clean and dry mouthfeel of this lager.

Pours golden yellow with a brief fluffy one-inch head, mild retention. Very pleasant aroma - first whiff is of honeydew melon, followed by some yeasty bread character. Flavor is gorgeously balanced as well, with the dry-hopping provided low key bitterness to the grainy sweetness and that melon backbone. Feel is crisp, refreshing, and well-carbonated. Very impressive.

exactly the kind of lager i needed this weekend, just perfect with the weather up over 100 degrees. its yellow and crisp and refreshing when its ice cold, but its not lobotomized and generic either, and its an excellent drinker, they should sell the pints in 30 packs! there is a gorgeous low golden glow to this, nice clarity and radiance and over an inch of fluffy white head on it as well, lots of rising bubbles, really nice looking brew. aroma and flavor show some light pils malt and european grain character at the core, not too much malt flavor, but not none either, all super pale and fermented dry and clean without a ton of fanfare from the yeast, but this grain element gives some nice balance and depth to a beer style that doesnt often have much. the hops pop with light herbal citrus, like lemon verbena or something, slightly tea-like, maybe not just noble hops, but bitter enough to make this snappy at the finish. i like the clean mineral profile too, the obvious freshness, and all the bubbles. this is a ripper of a lager, but its also beer drinkers beer, and i appreciate that about it. still full of character for a yellow beer, very well made. i was even more stoked on this than i was on the two ipa cans i got from these guys this weekend!
