Been waiting for this one.
Poured a thin foam head that starts to dissipate after a couple minutes. Dark purple in color.
For me it tastes pretty good. Not everyone will like it but this one is not too bad for me. Reminds me of a lager but a little more creamy with ube/African yam starch and light coconut flavors. Im getting some vanilla flavoring as well. Starting to remind me of a vanilla candle, especially on the end which makes it slightly less enjoyable but still easy to drink. Enjoyed the 1st few sips more than the last few sips. Drank it quick and might buy again to possibly adjust my rating.
Either way it might be worth a try due to its uniqueness.

OK. A beer coloured by purple yams. Different.
But, a lager made with yams? That's pushing the envelope.
UnTappd puts this in the Pumpkin/Yam category and I agree... sort of because BA has only Pumpkin beers and most of them have a holiday spices. As often in micros' innovation, no easy answers.
This Ube doesn't remind me of a lager in any way. Paint Me Purple does Look interesting and I've never had a purple beer. I find its Smells average and nondescript. However Tastes are well-balanced. Refreshing, but on the light side of medium-mouthed.
My second from them. I like Engkanto and give them good Overall Hugs, particularly since they are trying to offer something more to the Philippines which is 90% controlled by San Miguel.

It pours purple. Very little head pinkish head. Short-ish duration. Virtually no lacing. Despite the description, I get no coconut. I agree with others who note some vanilla. No bitterness. Some sweetness. Medium body with mild to medium carbonation.Maybe if purple yams are your thing this novelty is worth trying.

Nose has a floral delivery of rose hips, and what I pick up as a lightly creamy vanilla leaning note.
Flavor follows the nose with a lighter hit of the floral aspect. Vanilla leaning lager notes. A gentle nuttiness also comes in.
Mouthfeel is light, decent carbonation level, and finishes lightly sweet.
