Bourgeois Daydream is a flower growing through cracks in the concrete. Beautiful and welcomed but unexpected in a world full of hard craggy edges. Notes of kaffir lime leaves, white flowers and lemon balm lead a dry, succinct finish.

500ml bottle served in a snulip. May 2023 release. Picked it up in Chicago in June, I think.
Pours a murky pale yellow with a medium sized head that settles into a lumpy layer with a thick, coarse ring. Smell is light lemon and lots of grass, some earthy, lightly spicy and quite bright.
Taste is very funky, way more grain husk than the nose suggested, lemon, grass, earthy oakiness. Some earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light, a little clingy. Overall, good, bright, light beer.

Bought at Beer Temple yesterday. Released July 2022 after 8 weeks production that included stainless steel fermentation. It seems Is/Was is continuing to work on this recipe. Styled as a Table Beer on UnTappd, it has 22 ratings in the past month.
I do not notice that much different than REVZEB's review in the release from almost three years ago. Daydreams definitely reminds me of Spring. However, I think the lime is a bit too powerful; making me work at the subtleties. Finally, I do not think the cheeries this version rested on was enough to moderate the recipe's lime... but it probably helped a bit !
I would have Daydreams again; but probably with cheeses... too subtle to pair with most meals that have big flavors.
I remain a Big Fan of Is/Was, having 15 of their saisons. Most were a treat and that is how I classify Bourgeois Daydreams.

Murky bright yellow with a finger of bubbly white foam. Aromas of flowers, lemon zest, lighthearted funk, and yeast in the nose, very mild. Taste opened up, lemon, lime, flowers, grass, slight funk, slight apple, big wildflower with a kiss honey, finished drier yeast with baguette accents. Feel is springy, fresh, bright, and floral. Captures the more delicate yet crushable nature of the table beer well. Best offering from is/was yet. The wife loved it. Goes great with artisan cheeses and charcuterie, a bourgeois daydream indeed!
