3/7/26 - (Can, Home) (Chicago, IL) Can Notes: Purchased a refrigerated four pack for $18.73 including tax at The Beer Temple on February 4, 2026. I refrigerated upon returning home until opening this afternoon. 16 oz, no can date but this was Supermoon's first drop in Chicago on January 30, 2026, Batch 013. 5.6% ABV Farmhouse style Ale brewed with Spelt, Oats & Aged Hops. Refermented + Naturally Carbonated in this package. Yeast sediment will form. Serve Chilled. Supermoon Beer Company LLC is a family and brewer-owned business in the Bay View community of Milwaukee. Located at 3145 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Appearance: Poured about 12 oz into a pint sized tulip glass yielding an unfiltered foggy lemon yellow base with nominal carbonation after the initial pour. Creamy rich and thick head lingers for a bit, leaves significant soapy lacing and a cotton ball like creamy cover over most of the base. I see a few flecks of sediment, so will be careful pouring out the rest. 4.25
Aroma: Bold funk, wet wool horse blanket, lemon, grains. Very nice. 4.0
Taste: Consistent with the aroma, though dialed back in terms of strength and focused flavor. Lemon leads here, slight funk, nominal yeast flavor. Tastes OK, but hoped for more based on the aroma. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Persistent mildly prickly carbonation throughout. Drinks nice and easy. Sweet overall, but not too sweet. Lemon the main event here. 3.5
Overall: This is a good Saison, and I'm enjoying and would try another, but the aroma indicated a very solid saison, but taste is pretty much a lemon drop. 3.5

Appearance - The beer was straw yellow with visible carbonation.
Smell - The nose was Earthy with notes of lemon and funk.
Taste - At the front were notes of lemon tea and ginger. The farmhouse funk took over, drying the sweetness. The Earthy dry notes continued to the finish.
Mouthfeel - The body had high carbonation, scrubbing away the sweetness for the dry finish.
Overall - This is an accessible, well done saison.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours yellow with a hint of orange with a nice white head. Smells of sweet grain, nice and refreshing. Tastes of sweet grain with a hint of wheat. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.
