11/08/25 - (Draft, FOBAB - Lager Lounge) (Chicago, IL) Draft Notes: 4.2% ABV 4 oz draft.
Appearance: Four oz sample pour into FOBAB plastic cup, yielding a slightly unfiltered golden base, light carbonation, and an egg white head with nice generous lacing and base cover. 4.25
Aroma: Nice grain, lager malts and mineral water. Some cracker Pilsner malts and hops as well, not sure of the actual types used, but really enjoying. 4.5
Taste: Malty and a bit sweet, sugary, light corn and grain. More like an AAL than expected with the aroma. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Light and easy drinking, sweet overall with light dryness. Sweet malt start to finish. 3.75
Overall: Nice Lager, though woukd have preferred less sweetness / malt. 3.75

“Imported from Michigan.” Just your classic AAL, reimagined as quality craft. Low aroma, touch of grain on the sip, nice effervescence, quick finish. Easy drinking.

Canned 5/2/22; drank 11/7/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through, very pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big bright white head; frothy lace.
Sweet corn & cracked wheat notes in the nose.
Thin mouthfeel.
Sweet corn & cracked wheat flavors.
This doesn't pretend to be anything but a light American lager...and it manages to be enjoyable all the same. I'd have another, especially on a hot summer day!!

Pale white gold and lightly sparkling under a tall white foam head that's collapsibly airy.
Aroma is classic light lager with hints of rice and corn while a touch of grassiness adds a welcome sharpness.
Taste picks up right where that leaves off with an immediately more bitter, crisp bite than you expect out of an actual Miller Lite, making for a damn near Czech-like pilsner experience that’s actually quite tasty, while bolstered by a touch of toasted white cornbread.
Not just solid, but unexpectedly fantastic!

16oz tallboy can poured into dimpled mug.
canned on date of 3/16/22. consumed 3/29/22.
Appearance: Translucent pale straw yellow bodied beer with huge bone white head.
Smell: Corn and grains.
Taste: Sweet corn, toasty grains, and fresh baked buttermilk biscuits. Very light yet distinct herbal finish.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied beer with moderate carbonation levels. Super smooth. Really really drinkable.
Overall: What a great lager!!! Nice grain profile with corn sweetness. This beer really is a malty lager lovers dream. Impressive texture and drinkability. This is really well crafted lager from a small batch brewery. Don't sleep on it! I know that I will be returning to this brewery every time that I cross the Michigan state line to get my lager fix.
