Deep aromatics of cherry pie, cinnamon and an almondy noyaux from a 9 month contact with whole New Jersey Montmorency cherries. Fruity and funky with a balancing residual sweetness.

Lightly foggy pale salmon with an off-white microbubbled foam head of moderate height fizzling out to a thin yet fuzzy collar persisting from an active central pillar. The body becomes quite turbid after a full pour.

It's stunning how old world and maturely complex this is. Mildly funky, and as with most of their other work, only faintly, delicately acidic--this is made even more subtle by its endlessly fluffy effervescence. Accompanying the marzipan- and cinnamon-tinged cherry are touches of lemon peel and something herbal, like a mix of lavender and mint, but less potent.

Field & Oak is an absolute treasure.

500ml capped / corked bottle served in a Cantillon glass. 2019 Harvest. First blend bottled March 2020. Received from @jonphisher.

Pours a slightly hazy, peachy-pink color with a pretty large head with fairly surprising retention. Turns into a thick, very dense ring. Smell is lovely. Soft, cherry, tart, a lot of sweet-tartness.

Taste is tart cherry, maybe some red grape skin or grape must, moderate bitterness following the tartness which, just a bit of a hay/earthiness.

Mouthfeel is light, dry, and very effervescent. This is very nice.

Pours a light red color, billowy head that fizzles out loudly. Great funky, earthy aroma with light cherry. Flavor is light, tart cherry, funk is not over the top; very nicely balanced. Acidity is perfect, mouthwatering. Very good micro carbonation. Overall a delicious beer.
