Like Lady Liberty, we stand for independence and perseverance. In the pursuit of innovative beer, there is no obstacle too great. No journey too long. No fruit too gigantic. This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that’s surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing—summer in a can.

Beer pours from the can into a Duvel glass a clear, bright yellow color with a 1 1/2" foamy white head that soon shrinks to a layer on the top of the liquid, leaving some circles, legs and patches of lacing. Sipping leaves small patches of lacing, but fairly soon the head is basically only a thin island on the surface that seems only to persist because of the effects of the nucleation points in the glass. Toward the end of the beer all the foam is gone.
The aromas include some noticable wheat with a bit of watermelon in the background.
The flavors are much as predicted from the nose except that in the flavors the watermelon is in charge and accompanied by some some light wheat and malt flavor. No detectable signs of hops.
The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium, crisp and initially has a good level of carbonation. The finish is pretty much the same as the rest of the taste with the watermelon persisting to the end when a bit of light bitterness emerges as the mouth feel turns dry but the carbonation is basically gone before the beer.
Overall this is ok for a one time experience but there are other beers I'd find more refreshing on a hot day and would prefer instead. So while this beer is not a disappointment, it's not something I'll buy again or trongly recommend to others.

One of my favorite breweries.
I'm not understanding why this beer got lower ratings.
Perhaps it needs to be served warmer 45°to 50.° it’s a wheat beer so colder temps would not bring out the taste and finish.
Cloudy golden color with a two finger head and a snifter.
Grape aroma, more of the watermelon taste, Nice dry finish. Excellent!

On tap, a light bodied, mediocre wheat beer brewed with watermelons.
Trying to chug it down so I can order something else.

10/9/24 (The Garage Bar & Sandwiches) (Chicago, IL). $5 16 oz draft, shaker pint glass. 4.9% ABV, Wheat Ale. This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that’s surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing - it’s summer in a can.
Appearance: Clear blonde base, carbonation dissipated instantly after the pour, generous creamy head made of fine bubbles leaves generous lacing and cover over the base. 3.75
Aroma: Getting light wheat, bready. No watermelon, could be me. Like what I’m getting. 3.5
Taste: Jolly rancher watermelon front and center, wheat light in the background. Nice mix. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Light and easy drinking, carbonation AWOL, sweet and tart, jolly rancher watermelon finish. 3.5
Overall: This beer is solid, beyond what I usually order in terms of sweetness, but solid for those looking for a watermelon flavored wheat beer. Would order another down the road, but not back to back. 3.75

Hazy, yellow color. One-finger thick, white head. Wheat malt, hay, and a hint of watermelon in aroma. Malty taste with fruity notes and a hint of yeasts. Light acidity. Drinkable

It has a very good watermelon flavor, easily drinkable. There's not much of a smell to it. Seems like it should have a higher rating than it currently does.

This beer is actually amazing. I don’t know why you got such a bed rating. It’s an amazing flavor of malt and literally like you biting into a watermelon with some carbonation amazing beer for summertime.

Poured from tap, the body is a yellow-orange with a fluffy white head. Minor lacing.
Aroma and flavor are in alignment: a light wheat grain flavor with lightly sweet watermelon. Taste dries up quickly and was very refreshing on this warm summer day. It paired very well with a salad of strawberries and greens.
Mouthfeel was good with plenty of carbonation and a softer, lighter than anticipated feel.

Received a can from a poker buddy last August. Cold stored since purchase, no discernible can date. Consumed 3-27-24.
Beer poured clear gold with a very nice white head.
Nose is vegetal forward with hints of Jolly Rancher watermelon candy.
Taste is a watery malt base that is taken over by Jolly Rancher watermelon sweetness that finishes vegatal and sweet.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and very refreshing despite all.
Overall conceptually this is a nice concept for a refreshing summer ale but the sweetness is too detracting for me.

This is close to water, but weird tasting. Like rotten watermelon.
So bad!
Particularly disappointing if you're expecting a hefeweizen. It bears no relation.
