They are deleting any comment put up and blocking anybody who posts them. Guess I'll have no way of finding out what beer they get in (they're in my neighbz) now. Not like I'd be back again anyway.

Fortunately there's lots of other options to give business to.

Because I don't want this thread to be dominated by some bush league antics (pun intended), I started a new thread dedicated to people's experiences with BFF. I'm really curious to know if anyone has had good experiences with these guys.

All bs aside, it seems no one is talking about how great these beers are. Both citra and nelson are awesome. Enjoying them more than green diamonds. Gonna be real easy to drink through this case.

Was feeling sick last night, but will be opening one of each tonight.

Sorry to add one more thing, but I love their hashtag of #drinklocal- what a joke.

Both cans are off the charts for sure. Any rumors on what the next can release will be? Hoping for hop showers to hit.

I liked Citra more than Nelson. Both were great, just thought Citra was a bit smoother of the two. Out of all the OH beers I have had, Green Diamonds is still my favorite. All were great (Hop Showers, G is for Green, All Green Everything, Other Half IPA), but GD is fantastic!

Would love to get some Hop Showers in cans, along with AGE. Think AGE would draw quite the crowd, but that is just a guess. Never thought Citra/Nelson would have more people showing up than GD, but as Matt at OH put it, its a lighter beer.

2 months ago, I never heard of this brewery, and glad it is close enough to me in NJ to make a run too!

Citra didn't really blow me away. Don't get me wrong it's definitely a solid beer, but I couldn't imagine buying a case of it.

Haven't tried Nelson yet, will probably get to it this week.

I'm not crazy about this batch of Nelson, and I say that as someone who had it as one of their favorite OH beers (high praise indeed) from the last time I had it (in the fall I think). Citra is tasting quite good, but not blowing me away like the Green Diamonds cans did.

I am guessing centennial since that was on draft this past weekend.

If a store is selling OH cans, OH will announce it:

"Long Island folks... If you missed our Citra release, our good friends at Hoptron Brewtique will soon have a limited amount of cans for sale at $5 each. Cheers!"

So support Hoptron and skip BFFM!

It definitely tastes and smells off compared to the last batch and other nelson ipa's. Im not getting any tropical, just smells like weed and very dank. Not a fan of this batch at all.

Yeah I would say both are not 100% up to the original versions. But they are still tasty.

The Citra is tasting very nice today.

I think the Citra is absolutely fantastic but I am a bit underwhelmed by the Nelson, especially after the last batch they had n tap. Wishing I bought more Citra and less Nelson. Oh well, both beers are still worthy of going down my gullet.

Anyone interested in an IP trade this weekend for a mixed 4-pack of Citra and Nelson? I can offer:

This year's Gratitude from East End. Or Crystal Schip or Old Knobby that is also from East End, if you are interested.
Black Briar from Draai Laag is still available in bottles, I think. But only a few are left. Their standard bottles are also available.

Or if you would like a growler of something local I appreciate, I can bring:
Build & Destroy or Galaxy Saison (if it is still on-tap Thursday) from The Brew Gentlemen.
Kvass from East End, if you don't want to mess with that nasty Russian stuff for a tick.
Head Shrinker, Head Hunter (bottles available too), Bonehead Imperial Red (possibly can get bottles) from Fat Head's (this stuff is sorta local).

I arrive Friday, will be staying in Queens and leaving Sunday early afternoon.
Going to the Mets game Friday night.
Will be in the Upper West Side Saturday morning, or at some point during the day.
Will most likely get to OH on Saturday, I am thinking.

Let me know and thanks in advance. Also, if you have any inside info of anything grand coming out this weekend, feel free to BM me if you don't want to let the cat out of the bag here. I can keep secrets.

Will they fill stainless growlers there? Any restrictions on kinds of growlers they fill a la Hill Farmstead?
