This was the first beer in a five beer flight at the Bruery. Gotta love them $1 tasters. Grodskie (smoked berliner) style coming up. Hazy yellow in a brighter way pour, 1/3" white head. Hit the lemon sour notes right out the gate, mild smoke and wheat behind it.
Taste was a little higher than average sourness, more frucht than hottenroth in that regard. But softer acidity than frucht for sure, there is no burn going on here. Really thought the smoked aspect was more of a complimentary thing here. Ya did well son. Even though its bigger and slightly more sour than hottenroth, it has the soft wheat side of it, and its just really good and sessionable. I tend to like Bruery berliners more than the average guy though.
Can't believe I'm the first one to review this. So look Bruery, you bottle a ton of stuff, I totally think this beer should be launched into more production, if you can scale up this pilot batch, I would definitely buy multiple bottles. Its good and unique, keep it in the Frucht/Hottenroth pricing model, and I'm there bro.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
