Plenty of clarity to the yellow beer. Forms over a half inch of head, white in color. Hop aroma didn't deliver for the humulus name.

Taste was a mild thin beer with more hops. Really floral, lacked the fruit punchiness of some others. This hop bill is lacking. Is it the sterling hops or the quantity?

On tap at the bruery/brewery. Golden yellow with lots of clarity. White head, 1/2" in depth. Looks impressive. Aroma, hey uh, you called this humulus something, I would expect the hop aroma to come through a lot more. The breadiness was more prominent than the hops here, which, I've had humulus lager and humulus session, and those were exponentially more aromatic in terms of the hops. Not a bad aroma here, just came off like a biere de garde moreso than a hoppy beer.

Taste, like Coors but with slightly more hops. The hoppiness is very floral, but light and bitter/coppery. Kind of a sweeter edge to it via the malt. The lager yeast is there as well. Sterling hops aren't winning me over, that's for sure. Biscuit and cracker malt flavors all over it. This is more of a traditional lager I guess, compared with humulus lager. Seriously, this smacks of Humulus Coors.

By far the least of the Bruery humulus series. Nothing is done poorly, but nothing is done in a way that makes me clamor to have this beer again. Humulus Session & Lager are massively superior beers, in terms of humulus impact for sure.

A: poured a golden yellow in color with pale yellow highlights in color with a nice half finger worth of head that left some good lacing sticking to the glass.

S: plenty of earthy woodinees was very noticeable upfront on the aroma with resin citrus hops, good bready nalty sweetness and hints of pine notes as well.

T: the resinous earhty woodiness was more prominent on the flavor alongside ,citrus pine notes, a good sterling hop profile, plenty of malty bready sweetness that held a good balance and pine accents.

M: the brew was medium in body with a good amount of carbonation. Which had a malty sweet, hoppy, piney, bready, resinous, earthy, and slightly bitter crisp finish.

O: I actually enjoyed thise beeer which was very well balanced, subtle in the hopppy depatment but was a good interpretation of a pale lager.

On tap at the Bruery tasting room a couple of months ago. From notes.

A: Pours a cloudy goldenrod body capped with off-white head.

S: Jasmine, a little rose petal, citrus rind, biscuit. I'm not familiar with Sterling hops, but their contribution is quite distinct against Humulus Lager.

T: Primarily floral, with a little citrus rind to even it out. Malt presence gives the beer some sweetness, but not too much. Mild bitterness carries into the aftertaste.

M: Despite some sweetness on the front end, the beer finishes dry. Crisp carbonation. Just under medium-bodied.

O: Interesting, but I prefer Humulus Lager.

On-tap at the Bruery

Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Interesting blend of floral and citrus peel hoppiness. Biscuit malt sweetness, lemon peel, and a light spiciness. Some cracker notes as it warms. The flavor is lightly sweet with good biscuit and cracker malt favors. A soft hop bitterness, solid floral hop character, and moderate citrus character. Just a touch of spicy hop flavor and a subtle perfume quality.

On-tap at The Bruery,

A: Pours a clear gold with a medium white head, some solid lace, good head retention.

S: Grassy and herbal hops, pils like.

T: Nice bready pils like malt, grassy hops with a light undercurrent of rosemary and melon. Good direct flavours.

M: Medium-bodied, crisp attacking carbonation. Firm, it holds it's own, not fizzy at all.

O: Very well made, the noble style hop flavours are inviting and tasty, a fun beer to drink on this semi-warm fall day.

I had this on-tap at Of Love and Regret. Poured into a snifter.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with a hint of amber. There is a half finger of white head that fades to a layer on top of the pour and leaves some lacing.

Smell: Light and sweet pils malt, this one is quite herbal. There is an quality that reminds me of Belgian yeast spice. I'm getting some herbal hops as well.

Taste: More hops here than in the smell. I'm still getting the pils malt with just a touch of sweetness and orange zest. The finish is herbal and bitter with a floral note that carries through the whole sip.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with tingly carbonation and a really dry finish.

Overall: This would be a really nice beer to have at a BBQ. I've never had the regular version, but I definitely enjoyed this one.
