Can to snifter(canned 10/12/20); as we hail the return of the Mandolorian.
LOOK: Bright, but hazy yellow color, big foamy white head. Very good retention.
AROMA: Honey, vegetable, grass, light malt.
TASTE; grass and hay, light citrus and berry, honey is a nice touch of sweetness, but not the main event. lightest touch of palm and/or pineapple.
FEEL: very smooth, good carbonation, light body, Lightest stickyness in finish.
Kind of amazing that the honey can incorporate without taking over. Just a nice sweetness, to balance the bitterness from malt and hop.; albeit mild.
Chugable.

On draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, burnt orange color with almost a full finger of fluffy, eggshell-colored head and extensive, elegant lacing. The smell is rather subdued consisting of lemon peel, lime, and just a whiff of sweet malt and honey. There isn't much hop presence on the nose. The taste initially bursts with lemon and lime over a sweet malt base. The honey appears at mid-sip and is more pronounced as the glass warms. The lovely blend of Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Ekuanot hops provides lots of flavor but only mild bitterness. This ale has a nice, full feel with a pleasant level of carbonation and it's mildly warming at 8.5% ABV. Overall, Yellow Buttercup is more subtle than many other Kane DIPAs. The honey and hop bill have a delicate quality. The whole of this ale is greater than the sum of its parts. I hope that Kane brews it again.

Hazy, golden color in the glass, pretty substantial mouthfeel. The honey is subtle, balanced beautifully with the hop blend (Motueka, Ekuanot, Nelson).

Had it in a 3 Floyds glass.
Pours a golden brown, hazy color in the glass. Minimal head on the pour, nice lacing.
Smells like honey, Blueberry, floral notes. Stellar.
Taste - honey forward but not cloying. Balanced but not much hop presence for an ipa. Smooth.
Feel - soft on the palate and then finishes clean. Does not lingrr.
I really enjoyed this beer and the subtle notes from the honey. The blueberry blossom comes through but the hops do not.

16 oz. can dated 10/18/18 and poured into Teku glass.
L: Big white fluffy head with good retention and lots of sticky lacing. Beer is golden and clear. Very nice looking.
S: Honey and cracker malts, flowery. Pleasant enough.
T: Flowery, malty, definite honey character with cracker malts and neutral finish.
F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Construction and balance are OK. Lands heavier than it should, I think.
O: It's a nice varietal - seems like a honeyfied dehopped Overhead.

I was hoping for more from the hops in this beer. Some more noticeable distinction among the varieties. While it lacks in that arena, there is a delightful flavor on the finish that I could imagine is only the blueberry blossom honey. Very nice dry, bready malt profile. A very good IPA.

Pours a medium straw color, slightly hazy, minimal head. Huge honey aroma, slight citrus hops. Not super hoppy like most of Kane’s DIPA’s, this presents more like an imperial pale ale with loads of honey , faint hops, and a slight bitterness on the finish. Carbonation is a little light. Overall a delicious beer, love the big honey flavor, more of an imperial pale ale, not much going on in the hops department.
