Pours very dark and viscous, typical of the base ANTEAD beer; an aggressive pour yields a finger of dark mocha head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma is mainly vanilla, then milky coffee followed by milk chocolate and some bourbony boozy barrel notes. Really nice aroma. Flavor is gentle, light coffee with pervasive sweet vanilla throughout. The base beer chocolate flavors come through along with the bourbon barrel flavors and some light anise and milk sugar notes. Good dollop of boozy barrel flavor on the finish. Not super thick, but creamy and well balanced texture. Overall a tasty variant, has a nice balance of coffee and vanilla, 2 ingredients that are easy to overdo…
