From 07/27/13 notes. On tap at the brewery in Ocean. Dry hopped with I believe Cascade hops.
a - Pours a clear, golden color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation.
s - Smells of honey, yeast, fruity malts, floral hops, spice, wheat, grains, cloves, light bananas, and fruity esters. Nice nose, lots of floral and fruit in the aroma. Like it a lot.
t - Tastes of of fruity malts, spices, cloves, honey, pepper, yeast, grains, wheat, bread, and earthy notes. Follows the nose but with less fruit and more spices. Very nice taste.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Easy to drink, no heat at all.
o - Overall a very good and solid saison. Nose is fruity while the taste has a little more spice coming through. Easy to drink and you can smell the honey, especially in the nose. Would like ot have it again.

On-tap, served in a tulip
A pale golden yellow color with a foamy bone white cap. Good staying power, as it never truly dissipated and left loads of clingy lace all over the inside of the glass.
Clean saison notes. Fruity esters with a touch of spice. Wet hay. Simple and straightforward aroma.
On the palate, this is soft and delicate. Wet hay and crackery malt with subtle pear and grape fruit notes through the middle. Some spicy notes come through in the finish mixing with a crisp, dry, subtle earthy hop flavor.
Light bodied with high carbonation. Smooth and clean.
You can tell this is is a straightforward, let's test the waters saison. Clean and simple. A very tight and well made saison.
