Poured from the can into a wheat ale glass. Summer 2025.
Pale straw and unfiltered haze body, very much gose like looking, with a big fluffy and bubbly topped bright white three finger head, uniform and tall capped. No lacing and quick settling, some noticeable carbonation and even a little bit of staying power.
One of the best grapefruit aromas on the nose I have ever experienced. Biting zest and sweet grapefruit oils, bitter and sweet. As if the red fruit was being peeled off right in front of me. Dominant one note, but about as good as it ever gets with even a bit of clean quality.
Palate hits in multiple ways. Biting bitter grapefruit and real light body. Stinging oily zest and maybe even a touch of herbal hop on first sip. Misses a little bit of that chewy wheat character but goes for simple and exceptional session like flavor. Finishes quick with even a touch of vanilla sweetness and grapefruit bitter peel to make things full.
Sort of misses in the chewy wheat body, but since it's sold as a real sessionable radler this is superlative. This might easily be one of the best radlers I have every had that doesn't taste like a soft drink for once.

Tree House Brewing Co. "Splash - Grapefruit Radler"
16 fl. oz. can coded "SUMMER 2025" and sampled on 5.28.2025
$108.70/24-pk mixed case "The Machines Are Taking Over!" at the brewery on May 15, 2025
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a grapefruit radler combining wheat beer and grapefruit. It's a hazy golden in color beneath a finger's width of bright white foam. The aroma is wheaty with grapefruit, or something like it. It's real fruit but it doesn't have a very strong aroma. The taste follows suit, and I like that. It's light and refreshing. How strong is this? It's just 3.1% which is OK by me. I would, in all honesty, probably just drink a seltzer rather than this giving up the extra calories but it's OK. It's not too sweet, it's not bitter, it's not acidic, and it's quite refreshing. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and crisp. Great for summer I guess, but not particularly for me - give me beer or give me seltzer in this case.

In a bit of a quandary over his to taste this Radler. If i judge it based upon its stated intent as a low ABV refresher it would earn almost perfect marks: it's light and refreshing, not too sweet and with a nice grapefruit tang that draws you back for more. But rating it in the Julius class would be silly. So I went for mostly middle of the road 3.5 scores except for taste which got a 3.75 for the grapefruit.
The grapefruit and the underlying wheat beef are each apparent in both the smell and flavor.

Entered from notes taken yesterday in my back yard. 16oz can dated "Summer 2024" -- got it from @WunderLlama in NBS BIF #18. Served in a big snifter.
Pours light golden, clear, small head. Moderate active carbonation. Smell is grapefruit juice, bread yeast, and wheat.
Taste is more in the wheat direction. Grapefruit juice is noticeable. Fairly dry -- neither sweet nor juicy.
Mouthfeel is light and clean. Overall, pretty nice radler, though most of my comparison points aren't far from macros.

Brewers notes: t’s no secret that we love a beer that snaps with grapefruit flavor, so how could we say no to the classic blend of Wheat beer and grapefruit juice?! What was once a niche libation reserved for those craving refreshments after a workout has now found its way into the hearts of beer drinkers around the world. Splash Grapefruit is a low-ABV
I love wheat beers weihanstephaner in particular and I love radlers such as a Sam adams or Schoffenhoffer. I’ve spent a few summer nights in Munich beer gardens, drinking Russians and radlers and I know What I like. I’m a pretty big treehouse fanboy, but this one is a miss for me.
Translucent yellow
Aroma is wheat and grapefruit
Taste is light wheat with a hint of grapefruit
Light mouthfeel , perfect for drinking a beer after a hot afternoon cutting the lawn
I was excited for this brew, really wanted it to be Tree House Great. This is a rare TH fail in my eyes.
