Collaboration with Other Half

Foudre-aged Mexican-style lager.

Away we go. Cares behind. Into the vast melange of life’s wretched game. Without hesitation. And with immense appreciation. A cheers to you all from Burial and Other Half. One to endure the limitless foibles of your own spirit. One to restore your soul at the ends of the burning flame. Made with pale pilsner with a touch of Vienna and Munich malt, fermented bone dry, and aged in our American oak foudre. Packaged in clear bottles for maximum sun enjoyment, and the delightful spoils that come with it.

awesome name, insanely cool beer here, like how far can we take this concept, like how good could a corona be, leave it to burial and other half to team up and nail it, served at the original burial location in a clear glass bottle, lime optional, amazing packaging on this, so heady that its wood aged, although that element is quite subtle here, its dry easy drinking lager with some nice personality but i still think a drinker of standard mexican lager would like this, like they didnt deviate so much in the pursuit of uniqueness and greatness that its challenging in any way, which is a credit to this. the marketing side is obviously killer, and it sold me, i liked this before i ever even tasted it, but i liked it after too, so fun! blonde and bubbly and bright, cool label, the lime fizzes it up nicely once we push it in, but not before we took a few pulls to try it unadulterated. im not even sure there is corn in this, although it doesnt really matter, it smells clean and tight from the bottle, maybe more american than mexican lager, but its light, simple cereals, pils-like, near neutral on the lager yeast, just a little wood to it, some summery citrus nuance even before the lime, well refined, nothing cheap or adjuncty here at all, which already makes it a winner. the flavor is a fair bit more expressive than the aroma, but this is still mellow easy down beer, the wood treatment has not added any wild funk or fermentation character to this beer, its still tidy lager thats loosely european but pretty relaxed to me, but i do get just a tease of oak, rounds it off a little, adds some depth among the pale grain. im not about to say this is the best thing ever, its classed up a lot, but its just a well made lager, refreshing, warms up well, carries a ton of subtle intrigue, but its not the best thing these guys have ever made or anything, not trying to get too excited about it, although i could have had ten of them, it took the lime mighty well, and i think is very evolved for the style, obviously. i like everything about this, but the high carbonation, light body without feeling thin, and finishing rapidity make it for me, the mouthfeel rules, super refreshing for a more flavorful take on the style, lots to like about this one! overengineered in a style that never really gets pushed like this, just makes me happy i guess.
