poured from a 750mL bottle into a stemmed bulb glass. pours a nice dark red almost purple or brown. having a hard time with the color on this one. as the liquid lessens in the glass it becomes more ruby red. nice thick white head and collar. smells fruity, floral and funky all at the same time. taste has underlying acidity but the tea is the star here. fruity and herbal up front with an earthy finish. nice mouthfeel for the style. enough carb. it’s not thin but it’s easy drinking. this is a return to form as the second iteration of this beer was a little bit of a letdown. as this ages further i’m certain the tea leaf components will become more prominent, leaving the acidity and sourness in the rearview mirror.
