Released on 6/16/21; best by 9/7/21; consumed on 9/15/21
Pours a viscous, oily midnight-black body capped with just shy of a finger of dark khaki foam, fading quickly to some paper-thin constellations of sudsy bubbles on the surface, a rich, moderately-sized collar, and minimal spotting of temporary lacing along the walls of the glass.
Aromas burst with rich dark chocolate brownie batter with hints of molasses and a burgeoning melted marshmallow undertone; oily walnut over the middle accentuates peaking notes of decadent vanilla soft serve, while subtle bourbon integration and minimal oak presence tingles the senses toward the back end of the bouquet.
Taste features a silky, melted marshmallow at the forefront, backed by delicately charry undertones of brownie crust; potent bourbon is subtly integrated over the mid-palate as a nutty roast forms burnt coffee with hints of toasted oak as a tinge of caramel finishes.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-full body, dense and richly textured, with minimal carbonation trending creamy though dispersing a shy roast on the mid-palate; quasi-drying and balancing out the impending sticky textures advancing into the back end, the finish is subtly warming and sports lighter hints of grit.
Expressive bakery tones informed by walnut and bourbon nuance fuse sweetness with a necessary heat, largely nullifying any edges for a blend greater than its individual parts; the indulgence of a pastry stout and the temperament of a collected, barrel-aged sipper.

Takes a couple minutes to open up, but after some time this just tastes like a dark chocolate bar with toasted walnuts. Good bitterness from the nuts contrasts the richness from the chocolate. Barrel heat comes through and compliments the base bitterness.
