The union of Saison du Fermier finished exclusively with Missouri Brettanomyces strains in Missouri oak, a blonde Missouri wild ale finished in French oak and our solera-method Coexpressionalism base, which was then blended and naturally conditioned in this bottle for several months.

This one pours a dark orange-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like straw, hay, barnyard funk, lemon, grapefruit, apricot, and peach.

This is a nice little blend – there’s just a mélange of well mixed fruit character, a restrained acidity (especially for Side Project), and a nice lingering wine-like barrel character.

This is light bodied, clean, and crisp, with a manageably acidic finish.

I haven’t had a ton of the beers in this series, but they do tend to be excellent for the most part.

750 mL bottle. Cloudy yellow. Smells of soft grain, white wine, oak. Tastes of stone fruit sourness, white wine, oak, sweet bready malts. Back end is a little earthy and bitter. Long oaky finish. Medium body, lemony tart. A little strong on the sourness, but nice overall.

750ml capped bottle into a Side Project snifter. Shared with schen9303.

Pours a nice, foamy and creamy 1 finger white head. Beer is a dark goldenrod. Spotty lace, thin legs. Nose is oak, lemon, straw and hay funk, and peach pit. Very aromatic. Beer opens oak, straw, lemon zest, and hay. I get a nice barnyard funk with a balanced, dry acidity. Unripened apricot and peach in the middle with a touch of bitterness, orange, and more lemon at the finish. Really nicely balanced. Body is light with ample carbonation. Foamy and prickly on the palate and goes down crisp, dry, and refreshing. Long, lingering, filmy aftertaste.

This one's delicious. Geat balance, not over-the-top acidity or sourness. Worth trying.

First Blend I’ve had from this series, and it’s really good. Sour, but not punishingly. The Brett funk is pretty restrained, and the palate really features citrus and dry oak. There’s a nice stone fruit sweetness on the nose as it warms. Damn tasty.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a SP stemmed bulb glass. pours a foggy, burnt orange with one and a half fingers of white foam head. a very eggy, cheesy funk on the nose with musty oak, slight white wine, little bit of stone fruit and some hay. incredibly complex and inviting nose. taste has some of the stone fruit with some mineral and acidic nuances to it. it’s tart, but it’s just as funky as it is tart and that’s quite a change from the standard SP saison. full mouthfeel that has a touch of creaminess to it. a very well done Pulling Nails.
