16oz tallboy can poured into Rastal Lawrence glass.
canned on date of 12/29/22.
Appearance: Jet black bodied stout with thin brown cap of head.
Smell: Smells like a liquid chocolate truffle.
Taste: Chocolate bomb. Cocoa powder, chocolate truffle, dark chocolate ganache. Very very light vanilla note. Dry oak.
Mouthfeel: thicker body stout, but it doesn't quite get to the full pastry level thickness here. Medium light bodied stout with low carbonation. Somewhat creamy and also slightly silky textured stout. This stout is not boozy at all.
Overall: This is a liquid version of a truffle but in stout form. Very well done and absolutely nails the truffle flavor, but it's missing the wow factor.

Inviting dark opaque black pour with a brown cap that settles into a ring. Rich chocolate truffles, vanilla, oak, caramel, and chocolate malt nose. Taste is more generally rich chocolate with vanilla and bright oak with hints of black currant and maple. Feel is stupid smooth, malty, full without being too heavy, it is sticky though. This had a sneaky complexity while still delivering what was promised, bravo

poured from a 16oz can into a SP BBT22 snifter. pours an inky, oily black with a few patches of dark brown foam swirls. huge chocolate on the nose but honestly not much else. the chocolate lover in me finds it hard to complain and i never get much barrel aroma from these parfaits. taste adds vanilla frosting and faint oak whiskey barrel to the mix. decadently chocolate though. thick, full mouthfeel which is quite in line with this series. this one was a little simpler in the fact that it was a pure expression of chocolate but i dig it.
