Formerly: Cold Pressed Hop Juice
Formerly known as "Hop Juice", this IPA has been fermented with a peachy, stone-fruit heavy yeast strain that complements the melon and candy-like notes of El Dorado hops. Citra and Azacca bring in a layer of tropical fruit and rounds out the citrusy character. Low bitterness and emphasis on flavor and aroma additions, along with high protein adjuncts like flaked oats give the mouthfeel a juicy texture.

Beige pour into a Mahogany's pint glass. Not sure how I got that one, having never been to the location. Nonetheless, we have a full one inch of head on the top, white in color. Good retention for something so juicy and hazy. There ain't nothing like pimpin', The aroma checks the juicy box, nectarine, apricot, orange and pineapple seems to be the fruitiest edges of the yeast and El Dorado hops.
Taste imparts further corroboration of the word juicy appearing on the label. Add some guava and mango sensation to the fruitiness. The body is standard flaked wheat and oats impact. I would prefer a little more of a hit of bitterness and dryness. I simply prefer west coast ipas usually, or at least some more old school beer centric impact in the mouthfeel. This one is like getting a Kern's juice can for guava in some ways.
I still liked the beer plenty, Alvarado has a good hoppy beer program. Could use some pine or grapefruit standard C hop bitterness here for a slight improvement.

Was lucky enough to get this beer and a few others on a recent work trip to Reno. Had this once before, giving a taster a 3.75 on Oct. 18, 2019 and writing “Maybe better.” Alvarado Street’s website called this one “Pure hop juice in a can! Plain and simple. We combine a unique blend of hops and an expressive yeast strain to create flavors of peach rings, mango, guava and pulpy, fresh-squeezed orange. Low bitterness and a chewy, full-flavored mouthfeel conveys maximum juiciness, while maintaining balance and drinkability.”
Poured a medium golden hazy color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds, kind of looking like a snow globe. World-class foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled pretty damn good. In order got guava, mango, pineapple, grapefruit rind, pulpy orange juice, peach, pear, Simply Tropical juice and tropical fruit bubblegum. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. So much juice. In order got guava, mango, pineapple, grapefruit rind, pulpy orange juice, papaya, peach, pear, banana, Simply Tropical juice and tropical fruit bubblegum. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Wow. This was much better than I remember it. So much juice. (Overall - 4.25)

Beautiful pour with hazy gold and fluffy head. Rings of lacing. Melon, tangerine and just a hint of dankness. This is tasty. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly pulpy. Very nice.

Poured from a can into a pint glass; born 2/15/25. Pours hazy orange-yellow with mounds of fluffy head that slowly recedes... good retention. Smell of fresh tropical fruit - mango, guava, orange - hits deep with taste that follows. Good overall mouthfeel. Very much a pleasant beer but a bit too much juice for this podcaster.

So this was insanely pricey. Good beer is now like 20$ a 4 pack. That's like a 40% price increase in only 5 years. This beer was about $35 for a four pack. That's over 8 dollars a pint. Which means in a bar, they're probably charging almost $20 a draft? How is this still the same reality?
I got a single because this is exactly a week old, and IPAs that fresh are at another level.
It was worth $8 honestly. This is way better than most of the IPAs I've been paying $5 a pint for. A real treat.
Aromas of apricot, white peach, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, pineapple, orange and guava with hints of lemon, lavender and coconut on the finish.
The taste is rich, fruity and sweet, yet so clean and fresh. Expertly balanced sweetness.
Medium body, creamy texture, dry finish. Amazing.

Got a fresh 1-week old can!
*Aroma: mild tropical, mild piny, not too much going there and this is the only minus
*Looks: gorgeous, lemony light pale colored with two finger head that sticks around
*Taste: Juicy, citrusy, subtle sweetness, decent carbonation, super drinkable!
*Finish: Super mild hop that is overpowered by the malt, but refreshing!
*Overall Verdict*: An awesome beer for all weather, very drinkable indeed at 7.2% abv.

Sweet tropical hoppy, bready/biscuity, and hint of dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a orange/grapefruit citrus bitter swallow that lingers a bit. This is juicy and soft on the palate. This is good stuff!
