While refreshing, the dominance of blackberries offers more of a fruit drink than a saison (which by my conservative definition goes with food first and, second, is refreshing.) I'm afraid I am unable to taste any of a saison yeast working the malts. If the yeast did some of its job, the blackberries stole the show. If Corridor brews this again, try a few less blackberries and a few more hops.

Tried this at an Indian British gastropub in Chicago, and it paired ok with vegetarian samosas. But as my general rule, only the very best fruit beers (New Glarus) pair well with only a limited range of foods. Jam Jam Bigelow pairs only with a hot day.

Nonetheless for this experiment, Corridor's beer list certainly is creative and, I'm sure, even has some good-to-great recipes. I look forward to rooting those out by visiting their brewpub.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Corridor Brewery & Provisions on April 7, 2018. Saison brewed with an insanely massive amount of blackberries. Beautiful looking fruited beer.
