Got in an IP trade with hoptheology. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/29/2021. Pours fairly hazy medium golden amber color with a 1 finger foamy and fluffy off white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing and clinging bubbles/streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange, peach, pear, green apple, melon, papaya, white grape, berries, black tea, peppercorn, pine, wheat, lacto funk, hay, straw, wood, grass, leather, mint, yeast earthiness. Tea minty coolness lingers after the finish. Moderate citric/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; light-moderate herbal/piney bitterness and peppery spice on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light body, crisp citric acidic finish, with minimal puckering. Balanced grainy wheat, acidity, and sticky spice in the mouthfeel. A bit of salinity maybe, not seeing a lot. Minimal warming 5.4%. Refreshingly sour for the level of acidity, it does pack a nice punch, but was not overwhelming. Tea flavors compliment the Arnold Palmer theme perfectly well. The Centennial and Motueka character was great. For a citrus fruit sour it was spot on. Loved it.

This is SG's take on an Arnold Palmer, mixing lemon wedges, black tea, black lava salt, and dry hopping the whole thing with Motueka and Centennial to add depth and angle. It's a collaboration with Magnify brewing out of New Jersey. We'll see how it plays out.
16 oz can, dated 7/29/21, into Ghost In The Machine Teku.
Pours the color and depth of a really juicy NE IPA, with deep hues of amber and orange. Interesting. Head is 2 fingers to start and dwindles to a fingernail gradually, leaving spotty lacing behind.
Aroma is like an earthy dry-hopped Jersey-style NEIPA. I get a touch of ash tray and cannabis. I guess you could call this cat piss as well. Interesting. Further on I get lemon wedges and yes, dark black tea as well. I do not get any sour culture here in the nose. The aroma is not super powerful, but has a really unique profile.
So the flavor here is definitely Mikkeller-ish, or Hudson Valley. Upstate NY style sour IPA, all the way. Magnify brewing style is showcased here more here than is Southern Grist, but it still comes together. Sour lemon water and earthy ashy hops open this one up, with hints of black tea adding depth but not really much more flavor. Some pale malt pokes through and brings bready-crackery vibes to the whole mix. It finishes on slightly sour dry hopped lemonade.
Feel is juicy and acidic, carbonated, with a touch of alcohol heat, and a medium body. Leaves some starches and resins on the palate.
Overall, a weird one to be sure, and definitely not at all what was expected. I do not get Arnold Palmer AT ALL in this one, as there is no sweetness, but what I do get is very similar to Evil Twin's Old Fashioned Lemonade IPA. I liked that beer a lot, despite it being freaking weird, and likewise this one is an odd duck that has a rare rotational place.
Approach this one like a sour IPA/lemonade IPA and you'll be pleased. This is less impressive than I'm accustomed to from SG, but now I know what mood I need to be in to enjoy this little guy. Still pretty good.

Thanks to Buck89 for this unique TN offering.
Turbid and yellow. Fluffy white head that bounces up 1.5 inches or so, and retreats to a white slick.
Aroma is a mix of slight sour Berliner notes with lemon up front, with a hint of tea.
Flavor follows loyally. It is bright lemon, subtle sour, and a coquettish wink and nod at tea. Almost a understated homage to an Arnold Palmer. Quite refreshing.
Mouthfeel is light and with medium carbonation.
Overall, a unique and fun summer drink.

The pour is a hazy yellow, with a subtle light brown note (tea!!!) and a rapidly dissipating foamy white head. The sour notes dominate the nose, and the lemon is also present.
The lemon and tea are prominent on the taste, combining in a most excellent way with the base beer to create a very refreshing wild ale.
