Poured from a bottle (batch 2) into a Belgian glass

L: pours a quite clear light yellow gold with a minimal head that fades almost immediately. Moderate visible carbonation

S: nice farmhouse with a sweeter berry/tropical fruit aroma overlay. There’s a bit of a lactic sourness, some grassy/hay notes on top of that sweet fruit note. Granny Smith apple. Nice and inviting nose, not in your face but great depth

T: follows the nose fairly well, a bit more sour character comes through here. Get that sweet fruit note leading, find it to be a combination of white grape and berry (no clue what lychee tastes like?). There’s some slight farmhouse earthy character, also getting Cheerios/THP but not at an amount I’d call negative. Sour flavor much more present here than on the swallow, in a good way; bright and balanced acidity. Takes over for the fruit notes as it’s warmed. Medium finish, THP leads

F: medium- body, medium carbonation, very drinkable, slightly refreshing but not a leading characteristic, mildly drying

O: a delicious sour farmhouse, with great fruit character and balanced acidity that doesn’t override the base beer. Knock it a bit for the THP notes but it’s not enough that I’d call it flawed; regardless, tasty

On tap at Hudson Valley Brewery in Beacon, NY.

This one pours with a lightly hazy yellow hue, with a small head, and no lacing.

This smells like sweet earthy honey, lychee, key lime pie, white wine, and oak.

This is simple but very satisfying. There's a pleasant light acidity, with the lychee coming off mostly as a key lime pie sort of flavor. There's a bit of honey-like sweetness that provides nice balance, a hint of wine, and a nice sturdy oak character.

This is pretty creamy, with a very light mouthfeel. It's incredibly drinkable.

HVB has their game completely figured out at this point- they keep pumping out crazy good beer after crazy good beer.
