Crowler canned on 1/24/22; consumed on 10/31/22
Pours a clear, deep golden body with slight copper hues and topped with two fingers of fuzzy, off-white foam; decent head retention leaves a nearly blank cap, thin, frothy collar, and a modest display of soapy, webby lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of sweet corn and apple crisp are cut with an initial string of minerality upfront, as touches of caramel meet cinnamon into a fragrant woodiness evolving over time.
Taste opens to woody overtones and an interspersed minerality, with slight cinnamon/nutmeg past the mid-palate into hints of sweet corn and flaky white bread on the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel features a medium-light body and a rounded fluff of moderate carbonation, imparting creamy textures over the mid-palate while a slight, toasty prickle on the back end eases to a steady drying on the finish.
Highly competent cider integration phases to autumnal spice stoking a lagered inflection; a seasonal perfume contrasted by the sweeter leanings of its base and orchard-laden overtones.
