My first grisette, so factor that in, but I enjoyed it for sure.

3 month old pint can, poured into a tulip at 47F. As you'll read at the end of this, the age has slightly affected this particular can.
Pours a hazy* dark straw with a 3 finger plumey off white head* that quickly settles leaving some lacing
Nose is musty Belgian farmhouse funk, with some lemony citrus and very gentle hops. Wet hay, grassy floral. Almost undetectable cattyness.* Some woody action too. Light saison spice.
Palate is rather tart lactic lemony tang, amidst a light grainy backbone. Grassy hay, farmy, lightly funky, very very light hop bitterness and floral notes, and some exotic yeast esters. It it quite intricate whilst remaining incredibly delicate, and crazy drinkable. This does border on being a sour ale.
Mouthfeel is highly carbonated, as it should be. Ever-so-slightly scratchy, and it works. It's light as a feather, and finishes bone dry. Super crisp, lots of flavor, LOTS of character, but very approachable.
**I would like to add, that this is an older can, and I have had this before. It is my go-to table beer. The age has affected this one a bit. It normally doesn't put out a fluffy head like this one, and it also is usually much clearer when fresh. This one was expecially cloudy. I've never detected the subtle catty notes before, and it's usually not as yeasty. So if you're reading this, and you have access to cans less than 3 months old, subtract those aspects from this review, as they are unusual, and not the norm for this ale.**
Overall, this is a beautiful petite saison, and is delightfully refreshing and drinkable, while retaining impressive depth and character. It's truly a remarkable beer, and you're missing out if you don't get the opportunity to try some. I buy this more than anything else.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass.
Cloudy light yellow color. Huge, foamy head and great curtain lacing. Nice lemon smell and taste. Slight sour taste and a bit of a bitter finish. Would buy again.

Poured from can into tulip monster 2+ finger cream colored head, good retention and lacing. Pale opaque bright yellow in the glass. Smells slightly of lactic, and lemon, really faint, not much on the nose good or bad. Taste is slightly tart lemon on the front, smooths out and has a slight sweetness in the middle. Has a mild spicy bitterness on the finish. I am guessing this was thrown into the Belgian Saison category as there is no Grisette style, so don't be expecting any saison esters from this. It is nice drinking, but better beers for the $$ in the more table beer style.
