No canning date that I could find, but it has to be fresher than the last review’s review. Consumed 12/2/20

My first Marbles in awhile. I remember loving the Strawberry, so I bought this on a whim. Upon looking at it, I don’t know why I was surprised it would be so purple, but it’s a great looking milkshake IPA. The smell is a wonderful blueberry and vanilla sweet beer. I don’t smell hops, but that’s normal for a milkshake. I love the bit of tartness on the end too. It’s certainly not a sour, but just a hint of tart. A great beer, don’t pass it up!

Thanks Nick for the can! Violet pour with pinkish collar and surface lacing. Blueberry jam, sugar and vanilla, with very light finishing hops in the nose, about what you would expect. Taste really works, sweet blueberry like from the top of a blueberry muffin, with slight tartness and cool vanilla. Feel is sweet, slightly tart, very light, smooth and creamy.

On draft, at MoRE Brewing (Villa Park).

It has a blueberry-pomegranate color (sort of like POM) but with a good bit more carbonation and foam. Good amount of foam head is generated which lingers around. It's got definitely big blueberry and general berry aroma and flavor. Almost had this 'yogurt' flavor came to mind. For what this beer is (Milkshake IPA), the flavors are well integrated.

However, Strawberry Marbles is still a bit better in my opinion.

Thank you Franfab for this
16 oz can poured into a teku

A- A hazy purple with a two finger light purple head.

S- Cream soda, some vanilla, blueberries.

T- Blueberries, some citrus, vanilla, cream soda.

M- Smooth, medium body, creamy.

O- A very interesting take on a milkshake IPA, doesn’t make me think milkshake, but how it reminds me of cream soda still makes it great.

Pours beautiful hazy purple with juice head that holds. Smells light vanilla berry. Drinks very smooth vanilla front that fades into the berry flavor. Very smooth and clean not overly sweet.

16oz can poured into large snifter

My first time trying anything from MORE and this was a whopper! Best example of the style I have had to date! Super fruit bomb with that nilla shake love. Blueberry yogurt. The feel is extra creamy and the beer just gets better as it warms up a bit, like a nice stout. Heavy and sticky. Huge flavors, but still crushable. This might be my favorite beer of the year.

Appearance: You don’t get many can gushers. This didn’t “gush” per se, but it bubbled up as you can see in the picture. An attractive beer. It is an opaque mashed blueberry / plum skin color. The head is a dish soap foam appearance of light purple in color. No lacing or head as I drink the beer. Noteworthy is that if you give this beer a vigorous swirl you will easily reinvigorate the head on it.

Smell: This beer smells like sweet, creamy, blueberry yogurt. Yoplait. There’s also a slight sour note that you’d expect from yogurt. Huge, sweet aroma of the tropical version Starburst, which includes lemon and orange citrus.

Taste: The flavor definitely follows suit. But what I really do like about this beer is that while it is sweet, there is a tartness reminiscent of the hard, purple, tart blueberries that you find in the container. A sweet milkshake like flavor, also with notes of unripened banana. The beer finishes slightly tart, bitter and dry. It keeps the beer balanced and drinkable for me.

Mouthfeel: Moderate level of carbonation. Smooth and creamy.

Overall: I don’t drink a lot of these Milkshake IPA’s. And one per sitting seems sufficient for me. I really like this one. The finish that I mentioned above with tart, bitter and dry notes makes this beer for me. I think these qualities make it drinkable and enjoyable. Very well done beer.
