Their caps are quite plain
No logos or designs will
You find upon them

 

PNW beers often have caps that are plain
It helps keep the prices sane
While many a label has a design
That is creatively fine
Cap art would just rust off in the rain

 

Haiku is one thing, but limericks are a slippery slope, guys. Once down that rabbithole, it's only a matter of time 'til "There once was a beer from Nantuckett..."

 

You would have to live
in the Northwest for a while
Then you'd understand

Haiku haiku haiku,
No rare beer.

 

This is mere rambling. Neither formally, nor actually, poetic. You do the Northwest Forum a discredit with this post.

I don't know how I missed out on all the fun of this thread --- I must have been fishing, elk-hunting, smoking weed, etc.

And having been married to a Texan for 20 years (well, at least it will be 20 years on 5/27), I can say this thread could have gotten a lot worse. The OP must not be a true Texan or he's from Austin, which is pretty much the same thing.

 

I didn't bother reading it at the time, figuring somebody bringing an unknown (to me) IPA to a place nearly 300 miles from me was not something I'd be interested in. I now feel it should be preserved in perpetuity as a primer/warning for all non-NWers thinking of jumping into this forum!
