Quick question. Do their caps have a logo or design on them?
Their caps are quite plain
No logos or designs will
You find upon them
Ok thanks guys!
PNW beers often have caps that are plain
It helps keep the prices sane
While many a label has a design
That is creatively fine
Cap art would just rust off in the rain
Haiku is one thing, but limericks are a slippery slope, guys. Once down that rabbithole, it's only a matter of time 'til "There once was a beer from Nantuckett..."
How did we get from bottle caps to rhyming lol?
You would have to live
in the Northwest for a while
Then you'd understand
Haiku haiku haiku,
No rare beer.
This is mere rambling. Neither formally, nor actually, poetic. You do the Northwest Forum a discredit with this post.
A discredit you
read it. But so much haiku
in his lone haiku.
Drink more beer.
The "poetry" here
is bad enough. At least one
sober person helps.
And, just exactly, whom would that be?
@papat444 , we certainly welcome participation from our Francophile friends from the North, it'll probably be to your benefit to read through a few of our threads, just to get a, um, feel, for us:
Fair warning: You'll need a couple six packs and a pizza to get through each thread. Welcome to the rainforest!
Oh! And this one went in unexpected directions, even for us: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/wanting-to-trade-lone-pint-yellow-rose.264917/
I don't know how I missed out on all the fun of this thread --- I must have been fishing, elk-hunting, smoking weed, etc.
And having been married to a Texan for 20 years (well, at least it will be 20 years on 5/27), I can say this thread could have gotten a lot worse. The OP must not be a true Texan or he's from Austin, which is pretty much the same thing.
I didn't bother reading it at the time, figuring somebody bringing an unknown (to me) IPA to a place nearly 300 miles from me was not something I'd be interested in. I now feel it should be preserved in perpetuity as a primer/warning for all non-NWers thinking of jumping into this forum!
Wayback machine does not have
the "No Rare Beer" thread
archived. That would be awesome.
The Yellow Rose thread
portrays the Northwest forum
in all its glory
* and it resulted in my obtaining a bottle of Yellow Rose, which is a very good beer
So what you're saying is I should post in the forum if I want a bottle of Yellow Rose?
I'll put it this way: it can't hurt your chances.
This thread should have died
A painless death long ago
But alas Haiku
They have used the WA beer caps in the past.
When you say WA, you mean a cap that says Washington on it? Or WA stands for something else? Sorry, forgive my ignorance!
Washington Beer Week, IIRC
I think the "Drink Washington" caps that the Brewers Commission had available?
