Beer Geek Breakfast pours a deep, dark brown with a light and foamy 1-finger khaki tan head that fades, leaving a rim around the tankard. The smell is dark coffee upfront with cacao nibs, roasted malts and a hint of vanilla. The taste. It's strong roasted malts, with some bittering, but fades to reveal the chocolate and molasses with the oats coming through and finishing with an smooth, woody sort of oak complexity. Good mouthfeel, maybe a touch thin on body but a nice drinking stout.

16oz can into tulip pint at around 50F.

Excellent pour, not quite the deepest-colored stout I've seen but close, two fingers of deep mocha head. Clears quickly to a nice crown and mild lacing.

Smell has strong oatmeal and deep malt notes; understated coffee aroma, all things considered, but faintly noticeable.

Mouthfeel is incredible. Silky, coats without being cloying.

Smooth, strong coffee hit; develops well and the bitterness is well controlled. Just a hint of hops in the aftertaste; complements the coffee well. Oats somewhere in there.

Overall, an interesting change of pace as stouts go; not overly heavy by any means.

Pours a deep dark brown with an adequate tan cap, marginal lacing. Aroma is predominately coffee. Flavor follows the nose with a touch of sweetness, vanilla and molasses. Feel is thin and only marginally carbonated. Overall a decent breakfast coffee stout.

Look: Pours dark brown, with 2 fingers of foamy light-brown head on the aggressive pour into the tulip. Bubbles are mostly small, with some really large ones scattered throughout. Head retention and lacing are average for the style.
Smell: Smell is completely dominated by coffee. Honestly, not getting much else. This smell is not what you would call complex, but it is quite pleasant.
Taste: Follows the nose, coffee is the single dominating flavor. As the beer warmed up to room temperature, some sweeter roasted malt notes also came out. No alcohol in the taste.
Feel: On a thinner side, though not bad for single-digit breakfast stout. The carbonation is low to medium
Overall: A very pleasant morning breakfast stout. This stout, dominated by coffee flavors, drinks very easily and goes great with your breakfast food. I would definitely drink this again.

Low carbonation. Enjoyable. Not too bitter or overpowering as other stouts can be. Delicious beer. Found for about $5 for a 16fl oz can.

(Definitely let this one warm)
Picked up the 4pack of 16oz cans for 13.99 but swore I’ve seen it for a few dollars less

Boss pour into snifter produces a few inches worth of coffee brown head with only the collar retaining, solid black body, light splotchy lacing

Smell is intense dark roast coffee mixed with some figs and prunes, light aroma of smoked butterscotch, slight hint of sharpie alcohol

Taste is very bitter roasted espresso, ash blends with the roasts, leathery and phenolic with an almost Rye-like kick, this is a big beer no doubt

Mouthfeel is heavy and oily but maintains a constant low carbonation, incredibly smooth with a moderate finish

Overall I’m not huge on stouts brewed with coffee but this was probably the best I’ve had yet, that being said I probably wouldn’t seek it out again as there are many other Beer Geek variations by them I need to try

Poured from 16 oz glass into 20 oz tulip glass. Little to no head, with no lacing. No canning date on can.
Look: Pours black. No bubbling or head formation. With swirling, some lacing is observed.
Smell: Coffee upfront, with chocolate and roasted malts. The more it warms, the more prevalent the chocolate and oats become. Really pleasant smell.
Taste: Chocolate sweetness and malt upfront, with coffee back end. Taste is great initially, but dissipates rapidly.
Feel: Somewhat thinner than expected. Medium in feel, somewhat heavier in weight. Coats tongue evenly.
Overall: I really enjoyed this. It is a simple coffee stout that I found enjoyable. I wish it had a better feel to it though, as it seemed a bit thin. Also, taste didn't last too long, which was a bummer. Glad I tried it however.

smells of cocoa nibs with vanilla/tanka bean notes in the background. Strong roasted malt taste, rich with flavor of molasses, cinnamon and cold-brewed coffee. Finishes bitter and moderately dry. Overall, very enjoyable, would pair with: brioche toast, apple/pumpkin butter with foie gras pate; eggs Benedict.
